“Remakes and Memory” Roundtable Discussions are now online
As part of the “Remakes and Memory” screening on February 3rd, all essayists had the chance to share their video essays in a roundtable discussion. The screening showcased projects that explore different levels of memory created through the practice of remaking. The resulting essays deal with the many versions of Robin Hood and A Star Is Born and remakes of French classics, among others. You can read more about the various projects here.
In the first panel, Jemma Saunders, Tomer Nechushtan, Kathleen Loock and Ariel Avissar talked about the creative process and challenges of their video essays, in the second panel Philip Jozéf Brubaker, Brunella Tedesco-Barlocco and the Hollywood Memories team including Alejandra Bulla, Stefan Dierkes, Tina Pahnke and Yining Zhang were able to talk about their projects.
You can watch both panel discussions here.
