Public Lecture in the Capital University of Economics and Business

Kathleen gave a public lecture titled “Making Sense of Repetition: Industrial, Cultural, and Academic Perspectives on the Film Remake” in the Capital University of Economics and Business (Beijing, China) on 30 October, 2024. The lecture explores the categories and evolutions of film remakes, but more focused on the industrial aspect of the remaking dynamics.

The lecture was hosted by Dr. Lyu Yafei, a lecturer at the university and an associate of our project. Dr. Lyu was invited to present at our “Global Hollywood” workshop in July 2024. We look forward to establishing a long-term and wide-ranging academic collaboration with her.
