Kathleen was interviewed by the German Press Agency (dpa) about the current apparent remake boom. Films such as The Naked Gun, Lilo & Stitch, and Freakier Friday point to a revival of old material, but as Kathleen explains in the interview and in her book Hollywood Remaking, the heyday of remakes was in the 1930s and 40s. The fact that these sequels and remakes feel so present can be explained by their marketing as blockbusters.
