On October 21, Kathleen will give a keynote speech at “Film and Society” workshop at Nanjing University, China. Titled “Film and Memory: Negotiating Past and Present”, the speech will discuss how remaking intersects with concepts of memory, time, and critically examine how films negotiate past and present, stability and change, as well as nostalgia and its political implications.
