Public Lecture at Nanjing University

On October 18, Kathleen will give a public lecture at Nanjing University, China. Titled “From Feuilleton to Forever Franchise: A History of Seriality and Adaptation in Popular Culture”, the draw on numerous examples, to trace the serial dynamic and proliferation of popular narratives and characters since the mid‐nineteenth century and analyze recent trends and developments from a seriality studies perspective.

The talk is part of the academic exchanges between “Hollywood Memories” project and Nanjing University funded by the Nanjing University International Fellowship Initiative.
